Galileo Space Segment Maintenance Engineer (m/f)

Are you looking for a new and interesting activity in one of Europe’s most outstanding projects in the area of operation of navigation satellites? This could be your field of responsibility:

  • Become a member of the Galileo Operations Team
  • Specialise on space segment maintenance
  • Support of engineering tasks for the preparation, validation and execution of special operations
  • Anomaly investigation, root cause analysis and Anomaly Reports handling
  • Provide recommendations for workarounds to mitigate satellite anomalies
  • Maintenance and update of operational documentations included Spacecraft User Manuals and Known Anomaly Databases
  • Spacecraft Performance Analysis
  • Development and support to validation of spacecraft anomaly recovery strategies and workarounds
Your profile requires

  • Experience from AIT tasks and /or satellite engineering/development at industry is mandatory
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in space projects at industry level
  • Experience in spacecraft design and manufacturing
  • Expert knowledge of at least one of the following satellite subsystems: AOCS, Galileo payload or TCS
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Good communication and negotiation skills
  • Good analytical skills and high flexibility
  • Team player
  • Stress resilient
  • Experience in spacecraft operations would be an asset
  • EU citizenship.
In addition the following experiences are considered as an asset

  • Experience in testing or operations of satellites
  • Knowledge of the Galileo project
  • Knowledge of SCOS and MOIS
